Convert Your Lecture Slides to Flashcards
Upload and Export to Anki

Upload your PowerPoint, PDF, Word doc, or even a photo of your whiteboard. AI reads every slide, preserves your professor's exact terminology and notation, and generates Anki-ready flashcards with cloze deletions. Download as .apkg in one click.

How does it work?

Step 1

Upload your slides

Drag and drop your lecture PDF, PowerPoint, Word doc, or snap a photo of handwritten notes. No file size worries — 100+ slide decks work fine.

Step 2

AI preserves notation

The AI reads every slide and keeps your professor's exact terminology, symbols, and abbreviations. "ΔG = ΔH - TΔS" stays exactly as written.

Step 3

Export .apkg to Anki

Download a real .apkg file with Basic and Cloze cards. Import into Anki Desktop, AnkiDroid, or AnkiMobile. Or review directly in-app.

Why preserving your professor's notation matters

Generic flashcard generators rewrite your content using textbook language. That creates a mismatch between your cards and your exam. Coachingle keeps the exact terms your professor uses so you study what you will actually be tested on.

Course-specific terminology

If your professor calls it "aggregate demand" instead of "total demand," your flashcards use "aggregate demand." No paraphrasing, no rewording.

Mathematical notation intact

Formulas, Greek letters, subscripts, and chemical equations appear exactly as they do on your slides. No broken symbols or missing notation.

Slide structure preserved

Bullet hierarchies, numbered lists, and slide titles inform how cards are organized. A slide titled "3 Types of RNA" creates cards about mRNA, tRNA, and rRNA.

Exam-aligned cards

Because the AI uses your actual course materials, the flashcards align with how questions will be phrased on your exam. No surprises from unfamiliar wording.

Coachingle vs AnkiGPT vs RemNote vs Manual

Not all slide-to-flashcard tools are created equal. Here is how the options compare when you need to turn a 100-slide lecture deck into study cards.

Works with any format

Your professors distribute materials in different formats. Coachingle handles all of them so you never have to convert files before uploading.

PDF

Lecture handouts, textbook chapters, research papers. Text and embedded images are both processed.

PowerPoint (.pptx)

Slide decks from your professor, conference presentations, and training materials. Supports speaker notes.

Word (.docx)

Typed lecture notes, study guides, lab reports, and course outlines. Formatting is preserved.

Photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP)

Snap a photo of whiteboard notes, handwritten diagrams, or textbook pages. OCR extracts the text automatically.

Processing time by file size

A 20-slide PowerPoint generates flashcards in about 15 seconds. A 100-slide deck takes around 45 seconds. Photo uploads with OCR typically take 20-30 seconds regardless of resolution. There is no upper limit on file size or slide count.

One upload, eight study formats

Your lecture slides do not just become flashcards. Every upload generates a complete study pack with multiple ways to learn the same material — because different concepts stick better with different formats.

Frequently asked questions

Does it preserve my professor's notation?

Yes. The AI reads your slides and preserves the exact terminology, abbreviations, and notation your professor uses. If your slides say "ΔG = ΔH - TΔS" or use course-specific acronyms like "OLS" for Ordinary Least Squares, those appear verbatim on your flashcards. This means the cards match your exams, not a generic textbook.

What file formats work?

PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx), Word documents (.docx), and photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP). You can even take a photo of a whiteboard or handwritten notes with your phone and upload it. The AI uses OCR to extract text from images and then generates flashcards from the content.

Can I upload 100+ slides?

Yes. There is no slide limit. A typical 80-slide lecture deck generates 40-60 high-quality flashcards in under a minute. Longer decks may take slightly more time but the AI processes the entire document and identifies the most important concepts for card creation.

How is this different from AnkiGPT?

AnkiGPT focuses on PDF-to-Anki conversion only. Coachingle gives you 8 study formats from a single upload: flashcards (with .apkg export), cheatsheets, mind maps, practice quizzes, audio podcasts, video explainers, comics, and presentation slides. You also get an in-app review mode if you prefer not to use Anki.

Can I review in-app or only in Anki?

Both. You can review flashcards directly inside Coachingle with our built-in spaced repetition system, or download the .apkg file and import it into Anki Desktop, AnkiDroid, or AnkiMobile. The in-app review is free; .apkg export requires a paid plan.

Is it free?

You get 3 free study pack generations per day without signing up. Each generation creates flashcards plus 7 other study formats from your slides. The .apkg Anki export feature and unlimited generations are available with a paid plan starting at $8.99/month.
