California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
Last updated: May 5, 2026
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This page describes those rights and how to exercise them.
Categories of personal information collected
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, email address, IP address.
- Customer records: billing name, billing address (last 4 digits of card via Stripe).
- Internet activity: pages viewed, study packs generated, AI queries.
- Geolocation: approximate location derived from IP address (country and region only — not precise GPS).
- Inferences: drawn from your usage to recommend study material.
We do not collect “sensitive personal information” categories such as government IDs, precise geolocation, biometric data, or financial account numbers.
Sources of collection
- Directly from you (account registration, content uploads).
- From your device (browser, device type, IP).
- From service providers (Stripe for payment confirmation, Resend for email events).
Purposes of collection
- To provide the service you signed up for.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To improve the product (analytics).
- To communicate with you about your account.
Sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because there is nothing to opt out of.
If this changes — which we have no plans to do — we will update this page and provide an opt-out mechanism.
Your CCPA rights
- Right to know: what personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the purposes of collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive PI as defined by CCPA, so this is moot for our service.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality of service for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@coachingle.com with the subject line “CCPA request” and describe what you would like us to do (provide info, delete, or correct). We respond within 45 days.
We may verify your identity by asking you to confirm details we already have on file (the email address associated with your account, last 4 digits of the card on file, etc.). We do not require you to create a new account or submit additional sensitive information.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to exercise your rights on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of authorization (e.g., a signed letter or power of attorney). We may also ask you to verify your identity directly.
Minors
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under 16.
